JU Alumni to fund summer interns
09 June 2023
We would like to share with you the activities of Global Jadavpur University Alumni Foundation for the past three months. We are amazed by alumni enthusiasm for helping our alma mater. Thanks to all donors for your support to GJUAF’s work for helping our alma mater.
We initiated a Student Summer Intern Program. A fellow alumnus Prof. Subhankar Dhar in San Jose, California has developed the program. The idea of the program is simple. A JU student will work on a project for three months under the direction of Prof. Dhar. This program will be helpful for the student in post-graduate studies in Indian or other Universities in the world. The student will receive a stipend INR 10,000/month for a total of INR 30,000 The stipend will be distributed by the University through the Finance Office. The news published on the Telegraph is included below.
We would like to promote this concept to all departments at the University. If JU alumni, who are in the academic field in the US or other countries, are interested in this program, please contact us at info@gjuaf.org. You can help us by financial support for this internship program or you can be an advisor to the students remotely. We appreciate your contribution to this Student Summer Intern Program.
We are also pursuing several projects with various departments including, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, English, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics and Mechanical Engineering.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support and donation to GJUAF. Your participation at GJUAF will help in making our vision for Jadavpur University becoming a world class academic and research institution. Please tell your friends to register at www.gjuaf.org.
